Blackbeard: One of the most well known and famous pirates that was involved in the legendary blockade in Charleston Harbor, South Carolina in 1718.

Despite his reputation, Blackbeard appeared in cartoons like Disney; The movie named Blackbeard's ghost. He has also been in several comic books.

Blackbeard's original name was Edward Teach.

He had one of the mightiest pirate ships to ever set sail.

He turned out not to be one of the most successful pirates in the early centuries.

During the QAR era, it was a dangerous time for the pirates. It consisted of wartime and intense violence. France captured Queen Anne in 1711 and was used by a slave ship by the French. If I was to be apart of the QAR era, I would be the pirate to prepare the other pirates for the war. I would load up the guns and prepare them for fire. I would also monitor the whole upper deck area of the ship. This will give me the advantage to organize the whole crew and strategy to secure our ship.

Annotated Blog of ze Pirates

I compare the two readings Buccaneers and Pirates to Under the black flag. Its a good little reminder that you read the facts in the two and connect them both.

In Buccaneers and Pirates by Frank R. Stockton. It mentions a pirate's life and their culture such as wars, walking the plank and hunting for the most treasure.

In Under The Black Flag by David Confidingly, it defines what a pirate and a privateer is. A privateer is the commander of the crew which attacks and seizes the vessels of a hostile nation. (page.xvii).

Another connection I saw in Under The Black Flag "The French played a major part in the history of piracy. Many of the most successful and most fearsome of the buccaneers who prowled the Spanish Main came from French seaports (Confidingly. xvi). In Under The Black Flag, the authors says "There was a Frenchman of that period who must have been a warm-hearted philanthropist, because, having read accounts of the terrible atrocities of the Spaniards in the western lands, he determined to leave his home and his family, and become a buccaneer, in order that he might do what he could for the suffering natives in the Spanish possessions."(Stockton.18).Image result for pirate ship

Sir Henry Morgan & his capture of Panama

After the death of Sir Harry Morgan, a captain named Sir Henry Morgan was titled of the Jamaican fleet under the Spanish Rule in the late 1600's. In 1671 Morgan performed an attack in Panama from where he consulted and sacked the area. Morgan and the privateers had specific targets and those targets where mainly the largest rural areas of the country.

One of the two targets in Panama were cities called Cartagena and Veracruz but at the end they decided on Panama itself. The planning to sack the place was not easy at all. There were several many obstacles the privateers had to encounter. The city was on the Pacific side which meant that they had to cross in order to attack.

In July 1668 Morgan performed his attack in Bay of Boca del Tora with a fleet of small ships in the total of twelve. He attacked a total of 500 men in 23 canoes which was commanded in Cuba. The first task was for them to capture the lookout post of the town. Morgan and the crew had a large amount of attacks throughout the whole era.

My purpose

Life is one heck of ride. One day you end up in one happy place and another you end up in a midlife crisis and then you're gone form life. Growing up and discovering my purpose of life has been so far very adventurous. Currently a 21 year old in college, I feel as that I have changed my ways in how I view life.. how I view the environment.. how I adapted very quickly in society and what I learned so far my 21 years. Growing up, I was a different type of child, I had a very bizarre mindset. When I was little I could barely speak proper English. I could not speak English until I became the age of 7. School was of course a challenge and I used to placed in the special needs classes for not being able to adapt properly. At age of 13, that all changed due to growth and realization
